Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Vynox ("we", "us") collects when you use vynox.app and the Vynox Keyboard and Vynox Controller apps ("the Software"), why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We only collect what we need to run accounts, sell licenses and stop key sharing.

1. What we collect

• Account data. Your email address and, if you sign up with a password, a password (stored only as a hash by our authentication provider - we can't read it). If you choose "Sign in with Google", Google shares your email address and basic profile information with us.
• Purchase data. The plan and product you bought, the amount, the date and a Stripe reference. Your card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and are never seen or stored by us.
• License data. Your license key, plan, product, expiry date, status and how many device resets you have used.
• Device identifier. When you activate a license, the Software sends a device identifier (a code generated for your PC), your license key and the product name to our license server. We store the identifier with the license so a key works on one PC at a time, and we record when the key was last checked.
• Free trial records. For the free 1-day trial we keep your email and device identifier so the same person or PC can't claim repeated trials.
• Basic usage statistics. Aggregate page-view analytics for the website (through Vercel Web Analytics), which doesn't use advertising cookies.

2. How we use it

• To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
• To process payments, issue your license key and email it to you.
• To check that a license is valid, active and bound to the right PC.
• To prevent key sharing and free-trial abuse.
• To answer support requests and keep the service working.

We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising and we don't build marketing profiles from it.

3. Google sign-in

If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile details, and we use them only to create and identify your Vynox account. We don't request access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google data. Vynox's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Who processes your data

We use a small number of providers to run the service. Each only handles the data needed for its job:

• Supabase - authentication and our database.
• Stripe - payments and payment receipts.
• Vercel - website hosting and analytics.
• SocketLabs - sending the email that contains your license key.
• Google - only if you choose Sign in with Google.
• Discord - only if you use our Discord bot to verify a key.

Some of these providers process data outside your country. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

5. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account and license data while your account exists. Purchase records may be kept for as long as needed for accounting and legal reasons. Free-trial records are kept for as long as needed to prevent repeated trials. Expired licenses may be removed from your dashboard automatically.

7. Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to close your account, by emailing hello@vynox.app. Deleting your account removes your access to any active license. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Security

Data is transferred over HTTPS and stored with access controls so that each user can only read their own account and license data. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Vynox is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and continued use after an update means you accept it.
